Finding the floor
To get up in gravity, we have to be able to push down against a surface.
- Most of the time, I am not thinking of the movement going up - I am concentrating on the weight going down.
- While you are exercising with your child, try to think about this fact - anything that happens going downwards.
- Make sure your child is always aware of where to find the floor. The easiest way is touching it or looking at it first.
- You can use your hands to replace the floor - like a hand between the shoulderblades when going backwards. It will make it easier for the child to help you.
- Prepare your own movments in advance: when will you need the most stability during a movment?
