Working from the pelvis

For some time, do this as an exercise to improve the flexibiltiy of your hips. You might also want to make it a habit - like a very short warm up before you start practicing with your child.

Make sure you always sit in a position that allows you to use the hips - this would for instance be possible while sitting with the legs wide apart, kneeling on the floor, sitting on one leg with the other one standing.
